Meet Tania Friesen. Tania is the Co-Owner and General Manager of Nosh Eatery & Tap and sits on the Broadway BID’s Board of Directors. After working in the restaurant industry for ten years, Tania decided it was time to pursue her passion and open her own restaurant. In 2014, Tania officially opened the doors of Nosh, an innovative, plant-based restaurant challenging the perceptions of vegetarian dishes. As a supporter of locally owned businesses, Tania was drawn to Broadway because she felt that the district possessed a sense of community that encouraged healthy lifestyles; making it the perfect fit for Nosh. All of Nosh’s menu items are created by head chef and owner Justin O’Reilly, and emphasize the importance of whole foods and nutrition. Not just for vegetarians, Nosh’s menu caters to anyone looking for a healthy meal that tastes great. Offering unique menu choices, including gluten free and raw options (you have to try their Not-So-Poy Boy sandwich!), Nosh has made a BIG splash in the alternative food scene in Saskatoon. When Tania isn’t working at Nosh, you can find her atMuseo Coffee or Broadway Roastery sipping on an iced coffee, or attending a board meeting for One Yoga Saskatoon‘s Vinyasa Yoga for Youth.
