If you know these two bands, you know they both love a rivalry. 5 Guys Named Dave and Hotdog! Bluegrass don’t remember a time they weren’t beefing with each other, and so it’s time a true battle took place. They’re leaving it all on the stage for you to decide: Old-Time or Bluegrass? The Daves or The Hotdogs? Who will come out on top at this ultimate string band head-to-head of the century?
Old-Time vs Bluegrass Battle of the String Bands brings together Saskatchewan’s only 6-piece bluegrass band and Saskatchewan’s only Old-Time party band for one night of roots music, friendly feuding, and high-energy picking. Expect driving rhythms, tight harmonies, and tunes that trace Appalachian traditions from different angles.
