What a day on Broadway!
On behalf of the Broadway Business Improvement District, thank you to everyone who joined us for the 43rd Annual Broadway Street Fair presented by BHP on Saturday, September 12, 2026.
Despite a cool, cloudy September day, an estimated 15,000–18,000 people came to Broadway to shop, eat, explore, connect and experience one of Saskatoon’s longest-running community traditions.
From local makers and Broadway businesses to food, live entertainment, community organizations and plenty of unexpected discoveries along the way, Street Fair once again showed what can happen when an entire neighbourhood comes together.
Broadway Street Fair 2026 by the Numbers
This year’s Street Fair included:
- 170 vendors
- 50 participating Broadway businesses
- 7 food trucks
- 5 buskers
- 66 volunteers
- An estimated 15,000–18,000 attendees
Visitors spent the day exploring the Broadway District, supporting local businesses, discovering artists and makers, connecting with community organizations and enjoying entertainment and activities throughout the neighbourhood.
Supporting Local Business
Street Fair is a community celebration, but it is also an important economic development event for the Broadway District.
Feedback from participating Broadway businesses was overwhelmingly positive. Of the Broadway businesses and restaurants that responded to our post-event survey, the majority reported higher business activity than a typical Saturday.
Street Fair creates an opportunity to introduce thousands of people to Broadway businesses they may not have visited before, while giving longtime customers another reason to return. It also creates space for independent makers, artists, food businesses and entrepreneurs from across Saskatoon and beyond to connect directly with the community.
That impact extends beyond the hours of the event itself. Our hope is that someone who discovers a new shop, restaurant, maker or service during Street Fair comes back again long after the street has reopened.

Street Fair simply does not happen without volunteers.
This year, 66 volunteers helped with everything from setup and vendor support to information, programming, clean-up and the countless little jobs that keep an event of this size moving.

Broadway Street Fair is built by far more people than the organizing team behind it.
Thank you to the Broadway merchants who brought their businesses out onto the street, the makers and vendors who filled the district, the food vendors who kept everyone fed, the performers and buskers who brought music and energy to the district, and the community organizations that shared their work with visitors throughout the day.
We are grateful for the feedback, both the things people loved and the things we can improve, and will use it as we begin planning for next year.
Looking Ahead to Broadway Street Fair 2027
We’re already looking forward to doing it again.
The 44th Annual Broadway Street Fair is tentatively planned for Saturday, September 11, 2027, pending permit approvals and final confirmation.
Street Fair will once again bring together Broadway businesses, local makers, artists, performers, food, family-friendly activities, community organizations and thousands of visitors for a full day in the district.
Vendor applications, volunteer opportunities, sponsorship information, programming announcements, and more will be released as planning gets underway.
Whether you have been coming to Street Fair for decades or 2027 will be your first visit, we hope you’ll join us on Broadway.
