MEET THE STAFF
Full Name: Kim Deschamps (physiotherapist & yoga therapist) and Delaney Wright (office administrator & social media marketer)
Business Started in: Holistic Physiotherapy & Wellness came to be in July 2016 with a vision to educate and empower the community to take charge of their health and well-being. Kim wanted to share the blissful union of physiotherapy and yoga for rehabilitation, injury prevention, and optimal health and well-being. She has since expanded her professional practice, vision, and her team! We now offer pelvic floor physiotherapy for women! Holistic Physiotherapy & Wellness has found a beautiful home in the Broadway Business District. With the focus of inspiring health and wellness to our clients and employees, Broadway Avenue provides just that with close proximity to the South Saskatchewan River and Meewasin VA Trails. This active and vibrant neighborhood is the perfect place for Holistic Physiotherapy & Wellness and we are absolutely thrilled to be a part of the community!
What makes Holistic unique?
Kim – We inspire to bring balance to your life; to support you during your path of recovery from injury and to guide you towards reaching your goals for improved function, strength and mobility. We offer unique and refreshing evidence-based rehabilitation services to Saskatoon and area. We value collaborative care and we believe in the strength of community. We are continuously growing and evolving to better support the needs of our clients.
Favourite part of your job?
Kim – My favourite part of my job is seeing a client reach their goals and to feel confident in returning to the activities they love and enjoy doing.
Tell us a bit more about the yoga sessions you offer where babies are welcome!
Kim – I am working on developing a post-partum therapeutic yoga class with Ground Yoga where moms can work on their core and pelvic floor rehabilitation post-baby in a safe environment where their beautiful little babes are welcome! We are hoping to launch it in the Fall.
Neighbourhood Love – Spots on Broadway that you love to go to and why:
Kim – Broadway Roastery, obviously…it is amazing to be able to grab a coffee or latte with just a quick walk across the parking lot! UNA Pizza…best lunch around: pizza and kale caeser salad. They are quick, friendly and the food is great! I also love being in the same building as Ground Yoga. If it works out where I have a break in my day and there is a class starting soon, it’s pretty great that I can grab my yoga mat and head on down the stairs to enjoy some self-care/’me-time’.
