The Greg Botting Walk of Stars was created in 2004 to honour those who have made significant contributions to the Broadway Business Improvement District (BBID) and the surrounding community.
The Walk of Stars is meant to recognize special individuals whose contributions of time, energy, and enthusiasm make Broadway Avenue the exceptional commercial district and vibrant community that it is. As you walk past these tributes, take a moment to reflect on the individuals who helped shape Broadway into the vibrant community it is today.
The Walk of Stars honors those who have made significant contributions in five categories:
Artist
This category recognizes artists whose work contributes to the growth and advancement of the artistic and cultural energy of the Broadway area. Artists working in all genres will be considered.
Builder
As per the program’s namesake, Greg Botting, the Walk of Stars will
recognize those who contribute to the creation and development of events, structures, or other significant physical icons within the Broadway community.
Leader
Leaders embody and continuously cultivate the quirky, the eclectic, and the unique, that ‘is’ Broadway. They are passionate and able to incite passion in others about the wonders of the district. These individuals are constantly contributing to the growth of the area, with both tangible and intangible contributions.
Merchant
The Broadway business district was built by great merchants. We will honor those exceptional merchants who positively affect the district through business excellence, volunteerism, and community spirit.
Supporter
Broadway would not have become the success that it is today without the help of several “supporters”; those who have played an integral, behind-the-scenes role in the development of the district. Often it is not the title, but an unyielding commitment and a seemingly endless supply of positive energy that distinguishes these individuals from those around them.

Star nominations will be accepted year-round, with nominees remaining in a nomination pool for 5 years. Applications within the pool and/or received before the annual deadline of February 15 will be reviewed by a selection committee and considered for induction into the Greg Botting Walk of Stars on Broadway Avenue.
